I began my journey in 1996 studying Ashtanga Yoga at Aims Community College, and I later received my Yoga teaching certification through AAAI/ISMA. In 2003 I completed my Pilates training at the world renowned Pilates Center in Boulder, Colorado.

I have been blessed with the amazing experience to run and operate my own studio since 2003. I began at the Health Club at Pelican Lakes from 2003-2010 and then on to birth the Yoga Pilates Center at the Fort Collins club directing and managing their program for 2 years, from 2007-2009. The opportunity to take on The Windsor Pilates Yoga Studio in June of 2010 added to the unbelievably divine and fortunate events of my journey. We bought the studio and changed the name to The Pilates Yoga company in November of 2010 and moved back to Pelican Lakes in 2017 where we still are today.

During this time I’ve continued to certify in many contemporary Pilates apparatus, as well as Franklin Method and Facsinator. More than 2 decades of guidance in movement and I’m still learning and personifying these techniques.

I am grateful and look forward to providing outstanding service to current clientele as well as giving new clients the experience of these modalities.

I’m a mom, meditation practitioner, gardener and an empathic healer. Currently, I’m passionate about helping you to connect to your fascial system (the webbing encasing our entire body) through healthy movement. I am Balance Body trained in Pilates and Corealign and am thrilled to be working in this gorgeous studio with these highly skilled instructors! I have past experience of living with aches and chronic pain, I now live with joy and ease. I am honored to have the chance to share some tools with you to encourage your growth and well-being. I strive to be in sync with the nature of life – continually expanding, growing, and surrendering to the greater flow. I look forward to exploring with you!

As a Pilates Method Alliance Certified Teacher, I have been teaching mat and apparatus classes since 2014. Whether working with clients 1-1, or in a small-group setting, I focus on individual needs and goals. I enjoy working with pregnant/post-natal women, injured/rehab clients, young adults to seniors with scoliosis and spondylolysis, as well as recreational and high-performing athletes. My own Pilates practice helps me maintain an awareness of correct body mechanics and postural alignment. I also hold a Personal Strength and Fitness Certification through the National Council on Strength & Fitness (NCSF); and an Advanced Diploma in Personal Nutrition from NCFE (Northern Council for Further Education). I am interested in applied neurology training, the fascial system, and scar tissue release therapy. I’m originally from England, so I enjoy drinking tea and talking about the weather!!

Pilates Teacher | Licensed Massage Therapist | Corrective Exercise Specialist

John has been a lifelong martial artist and a certified karate instructor for over 35 years. He discovered Pilates in 2013 while researching fitness training and teaching programs available through the GI Bill. He was impressed with the challenging and beneficial Pilates method and began the journey to teacher certification. John studied with 2nd Generation Master Instructors Richard Rossiter and Bonnie Grebe in Lafayette, CO and became a comprehensive Pilates teacher in 2015. Since then, he has become a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist, as well as a Colorado-licensed massage therapist.

 

John is a retired U.S. Air Force officer and recently completed a second career as a defense industry contractor, managing aviation operations in support of worldwide U.S. military missions. He is now committed to performing corrective bodywork and teaching Pilates in order to help clients achieve proper neuromuscular function for higher physical performance. John provides services combining elements of classical Pilates, corrective exercise, and massage to maximize the benefits of each of those therapies. This multidisciplinary approach provides clients with a wide range of safe and effective options to correct movement compensations and muscular dysfunctions in order to feel, move and live better.

This allows me to continuously refine and enhance my teaching methods, offering my clients a diverse and dynamic experience. I am a Balanced Body Certified Pilates Instructor, National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, with a strong emphasis in human anatomy and movement, and currently working towards a Nutrition Coaching certification, all of which provide a solid foundation for my instruction.
